Here at Saga Brewing Company we release our beers in series we call "sagas". Each saga has a central focus, with all beers within it being variations on the same style. This allows us to experiment and tweak specific aspects of the beers, crafting a journey of flavor, texture, and aroma. We're excited for you to experience these sagas with us as our story unfolds.
The Sketchbook Saga
The sketchbook saga is a Hazy IPA series that is our journey into the exploration of hops. The soft, pillowy body features a small bitter bite with a big juicy punch of tropical & fruity flavors. Each entrant in the series features a different combination of hops that creates a distinctly unique drinking experience.
Just like a brainstorming session, this beer is the product of our collective creative and experimental natures. The sketchbook saga labels are adorned with doodles and ideas, representative of the creative process that goes into our beers. Do you like to doodle too? Feel free to email us a doodle for a chance to be on the next label in the series!
The Abstract Saga
The Abstract saga is our series of Hazy DIPAs & TIPAs.
The ostensibly random application of colors and shapes amalgamate to create a beautifully amorphous gestalt. We intuit this as an analog of brewing where many mechanisms work in tandem, integrating into a whole greater than the sum of its parts. The very nature of abstract art compels scrutinization; tantamountly these beers beget many a question...
Is this some kind of esoteric genius or serendipitous fluke?
Can an ambiguous bespattering of a canvas elicit elucidation?
Why must we bear the burden of predilection to metamorphose tacit perceptions into the explicit?
What compels the Saga crew to such mesmeric sesquipedalian loquaciousness?
Are the Saga crew just a bunch of quasi-intellectuals?
Can't I just appreciate the beer without all this introspection?
Do I even want to drink this beer anymore?
